HP Launches a refreshing new range of Mini Netbooks

Hewlett-Packard today, announced its new range of HP Mini consumer Netbook series. This new series known as the Mini 210 comes in four refreshing colors, Sonoma Red, Solid Black, Silver Crystal and Pacific Blue.

The new series of consumer HP Minis replaces the previous Mini 110 series and comes with a range of enhancements over its predecessor.

The new entrant comes in an extremely sleek less than 1 inch thick form factor, further it comes equipped with the latest N450 Intel Atom processor which boasts a 20% reduction in power consumption over previous Atom processors, giving the new HP Mini enhanced battery time.

As far as storage is concerned the Mini 210 comes in variants of 160GB to 320GB versions for users requiring high data storage on their Netbooks. The new Mini comes with a Chicklet Keyboard which is just 93% the size of an original keyboard, giving the user much more room to adjust their hands when typing.

Just like the previous HP Mini lineup, this news ones also carry many of HPs professional innovation software such as Quick Sync, Quick Web, HP Cloud Drive and HP Quick Stream.

The biggest improvement came in the navigation arena, with the previous Mini as you can see on the right (In White), having the orientation of the touchpad completely wrong. User had to get used to having buttons on the left and the right, which was extremely difficult to get accustomed to. This has been resolved in the new Mini as can be seen in the picture on the left.

This HP Mini comes with a Full Featured version which also has some additional features such as an HD Decoder and a Bright view screen.

Keeping all of these improvements in mind and the fact that the new HP Mini is expected to come at, if not a cheaper but the same price as the previous Mini, I would give this product a rating of 8.
